Barbara Anderson

Barbara Anderson has over 30 years of commercial lending experience. After completing formal credit training at NatWest USA, Mrs. Anderson managed a portfolio of loans to specialty finance companies ranging in size from $5 million to $450 million. From 1991 through 1997, she held senior management positions at Allstate Financial Corporation and The CIT Group, specializing in direct financing for small businesses.

She subsequently held roles at BankBoston Retail Finance, Back Bay Capital, IBJ Whitehall Retail Finance, LaSalle Retail Finance, and National City Retail Finance, where she originated, underwrote, and managed in excess of $3 billion of senior secured, asset-based loans to consumer product distributors and retailers nationwide. She worked with hundreds of small and mid-cap companies, as well as large public companies, to provide financing for acquisitions, refinancings, restructurings, bankruptcies, and recapitalizations.

Since 2009, Mrs. Anderson has worked for a large private investment firm to acquire performing and non-performing, commercial and consumer loans; co-founded i2B Capital, LLC, to provide senior secured growth capital to early- and mid-stage companies with a focus on the specialty finance sector; and led a private credit team at Yieldstreet that acquired more than $1 billion in factoring, supply chain, and revenue-based assets, as well as commercial equipment and consumer installment loans and leases.

Mrs. Anderson joined BasePoint Capital in 2024 as Director of Commercial Credit, where she is responsible for developing new commercial finance verticals, establishing credit policies and procedures, conducting risk analysis and due diligence, and sourcing new business opportunities.
