Executive Vice President, Head of Capital Finance, Wells Fargo

Kurt Marsden is the Executive Vice President and Head of Wells Fargo Capital Finance, which provides traditional asset-based lending and specialized junior and senior secured lending to companies across a wide range of industries in the U.S., U.K., and Canada. Under Kurt’s leadership, Capital Finance has consistently been named one of the top bookrunners by transaction volume, according to international financial market data firm Refinitiv. Prior to leading Capital Finance, he served as head of the Corporate Finance group and as division manager for the Business Finance team.

Kurt joined Foothill Capital Corporation (now Wells Fargo Capital Finance) in 1992 and held many leadership roles during his tenure. In 2007, he formed the Technology Finance group, and, as group leader, he worked with a significant number of software and technology companies from both the public and private sectors to provide financing solutions. Additionally, he was the first credit manager for the company’s Specialty Finance division and worked for six years as western region credit manager for the asset-based business.

Kurt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and real estate from California State University, Northridge. He resides in California with his wife and two children, and he is active in his community as the Board President of Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration, a non-profit focused on promoting greater inclusion for children with disabilities.
