Tennessee Bank & Trust, a full-service bank servicing individuals and businesses in middle Tennessee, today announced the additions of Chet Alexander as Chief Credit Officer and Sandi Lanier as Executive Vice President, Operations and Compliance. In these roles, Alexander and Lanier will oversee all credit and lending restructuring and the strategic operations and lending compliance for the bank, respectively.
“This is an exciting time for our bank—we are strengthening our leadership team and looking to continue to hire at all levels throughout our organization,” said Brian Heinrichs, president and Chief Banking Officer of Tennessee Bank & Trust. “Chet is an industry veteran and a leader who will make a tremendous difference for our bank and our clients. His unique background in the local banking industry combined with his strategic approach to lending make him an ideal fit for our team during this growth phase.”
Alexander has more than 25 years of proven credit experience, focusing on commercial and agricultural lending and loan operations. Prior to joining Tennessee Bank & Trust, he held several senior level positions at Simmons Bank. Previously, Alexander also served as Chief Credit Officer for First State Bank where he spent 16 years. In this role, he navigated and restructured complex loan relationships for banks to better serve clients. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin and holds multiple certifications in the banking and lending space.
“We’re thrilled to have Sandi Lanier join our team as Executive Vice President, given her proven track record as an exceptional leader in this space,” Heinrichs added. “She will play a vital role as we grow, strengthening our compliance programs and improving our overall operations here at the bank.”
Lanier brings more than four decades of financial services expertise, including an extensive background managing various loan operational areas. Most recently, Lanier served as Executive Vice President of Operations & Compliance for CapStar Bank in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, she was responsible for the deposit operation, loan operation and compliance departments of the bank, including overseeing the restructuring of its Loan Operations Department and the creation of its Compliance Department.
