Amherst Partners Welcomes New Executive to Restructuring Practice

Amherst Partners is pleased to announce that Shareef Simaika has joined the firm as a Director in the firm’s Restructuring Advisory practice.

Simaika has almost 20 years of professional experience in banking and financial advisory, providing solutions to clients across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, automotive, food and beverage, commercial products and retail, real estate, building materials and construction, and professional services.

Most recently, Simaika was a director with Michigan-based business advisory firm Alderney Advisors. Additional professional experience includes serving as a Vice President in Comerica Bank’s Special Assets Group, helping to stabilize and rehabilitate distressed borrowers, and working as a commercial lending credit officer at Comerica, overseeing the underwriting, structuring, and due diligence of a multitude of deal types, including leveraged financing, asset-based lending, and commercial real estate.

Simaika earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional and an active member of the Detroit Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the Association for Corporate Growth. He resides in Grosse Pointe, Michigan with his wife and two children and will be based in the firm’s Birmingham, Michigan office.
